Sarah has grown up with a love and innate connection with the outdoors after frequent trips with her family to the bush and sea along with camping adventures every holiday.

After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport & Recreation, majoring in Outdoor Education in 2008, Sarah worked with AdventureWorks Ltd who specialise in personal & social development of youth through adventure-based learning and outdoor activities (high ropes, team-building, Duke of Edinburgh, Project K, tramping, biking, kayaking and more) focussing on supporting other's to thrive in life. During her time here Sarah also completed a 21-day Outward Bound Course, joined the NZ Army part-time as a combat medic where she served for 5 years and in 2014 she graduated with a NZ Sign Language Interpreting Degree due to her introduction to a Deaf school group in her adventure-based learning activities.

In 2018, Sarah moved away from the outdoors, working with high performance athletes as a Life Coach where she continued her passions of supporting people towards their goals whether personal or work-focussed.

She was honoured to work with athletes during this time where they are pushing themselves to new potentials in their chosen sport or discipline, however the outdoors kept calling like a long, lost friend. Sarah answered this call and returned to an outdoors-based job end of 2021 called Conscious Kids - a social enterprise based on promoting outdoor free play opportunities for children aged 5-12 through holiday and in-school programmes.

Developing some fantastic friends, and great networks in the community, as well as taking part in inspiring work with young tamariki, Sarah branched away from there to become a co-director with The Living Project where she was able to draw on all her strengths and skills, and create wellness ventures such as this for anyone in the community. Now with a new project called InLiven, Sarah is thriving in her passions and has actualized the dreams she once yearned for as a little girl playing in nature all those years ago.
